AMSCOT PHISHING ALERT

Amscot Financial customers are currently experiencing an increase in fraud schemes known as "phishing". While phishing has typically been associated with unsolicited emails, the new scams are using a combination of phone messages and toll-free numbers in their attempts to steal valuable personal and financial information from unaware
consumers.
To help ensure that you do not become a victim of this fraud, please follow the
instructions below:
If you receive a phone call or an email claiming to be from Amscot asking
you to log in to a site other than amscotfinancial.com, please do not log in to the site.
Never respond to unsolicited e-mails containing links, nor to emails asking you to verify account or personal information or email asking you to reactivate a service.
Never respond to a phone call or voice mail service asking you to verify account information or reactivate an Amscot Prepaid Mastercard®.
  Amscot Financial customer service will never verbally ask you to verify your information on the phone using your Amscot Card personal identification number (PIN).
If you believe you are a victim of fraud or suspect suspicious communication claiming to be from Amscot Financial:
Customers who receive a suspicious email or phone call, or believe they have provided personal information in response to a fraudulent call or email should contact Amscot Financial immediately at 1-800-333-6130. Customers can also forward any suspicious email to fraud@amscotfinancial.com.
