Port Orange, Fla., November 8, 2007 - Amscot Financial held an open house on Saturday, November 10 at its new location 3863-C Nova Road in Port Orange. Amscot presented a $500 contribution to the Volusia-Flagler PACE Center for Girls, a delinquency prevention program focused on teenage girls.

The Volusia-Flagler PACE Center is one of 19 similar facilities located throughout Florida. PACE Center for Girls, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation that provides non-residential delinquency prevention programs, targeting the unique needs of females 12 to 18 who are identified as dependent, truant, runaway, ungovernable, delinquent, or in need of academic skills.  PACE (Practical Academic Cultural Education) accepts referrals from the juvenile justice system, the Department of Children and Families, school personnel, community services agencies, parents, family members, friends and self-referrals.  Its purpose is to intervene and prevent school withdrawal, juvenile delinquency, teen pregnancy, substance abuse and welfare dependency.
