Riverview, Fla., March 9, 2007 - Amscot Financial held an open house on Saturday, March 10 at 10267 Big Bend Road in Riverview. Amscot presented a $500 contribution to the Boys & Girls Club of Tampa Bay, a Pinellas County after-school program for at-risk children.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay offers a variety of programs for youth. For example the organization’s Education and Career Development programs provide a link between school-based learning and real world experience. The Grade Improvement Program offers year-round incentives for raising and maintaining grades. The Power Hour homework help program offers computer learning activities and other special programs that reinforce the value of good grades. Students learn how to set short and long-term goals and how to reach those goals.

With motivation, Boys & Girls club kids are excited about the opportunities they have, and those they can create. Amscot Financial’s contribution will help underwrite these education programs in the Riverview community.
