Each Amscot "A GIFT FOR YOU" MasterCard Gift Card is assigned an individual account number that determines the value of each card and each card is embossed with an expiration date that will allow them plenty of time to choose the right gift for them. The back of the card has a magnetic strip that can be used for purchases anywhere that MasterCard debit cards are accepted.

Gift recipients can use their card as many times as they like for up to the amount of your gift until the card expires. As the gift recipient uses the card, the amount of the purchase is automatically deducted from the cards available balance. The prepaid Visa® card functions as a debit card. No credit check, no qualifying - you're already approved!. You purchase the card with a one-time fee ($19.95) and then load the card with a minimum amount of $10 up to a maximum amount of $2,500. You can pull money out at over one million ATM locations world-wide, make purchases online, or swipe your card at the supermarket, gas station or wherever Visa® is accepted.

To load the prepaid Visa®, the fee is $1.50 for each load (the first time is free). When you make a purchase where you sign the sales slip, the fee is $1.00; when you make a purchase where you enter your PIN number, the fee is $2.00. Balance inquiries are $.50 (balance inquiries are free if you check from the Internet). Also, the prepaid Visa® can only be used by the person who purchases the card.
