How does it work? The Amscot Prepaid MasterCard is the perfect alternative to a traditional checking account. The front of the card displays your name, the MasterCard logo, an individual card account number, and an expiration date. The back includes a magnetic strip. Unlike a credit card, The Amscot Prepaid MasterCard stores value: The dollar amount you choose to load onto the card.

You can load money onto The Amscot Prepaid MasterCard at any Amscot location as often as you like. As you use the card at merchants or ATMs, the amount of the purchase or cash withdrawal is automatically deducted from the card's available balance.

How much does it cost? The Amscot Prepaid MasterCard is $4.95 and is available only at Amscot. (See Terms and Conditions for a complete list of fees). When you sign up for The Amscot Prepaid MasterCard you'll be handed an Instant Issue card that will allow immediate access to your cash at ATMs, and for merchant PIN transactions, while you wait for your personalized Amscot Prepaid MasterCard with the MasterCard brandmark to arrive by mail in seven to ten days.

You can also review your transactions via phone by calling Cardholder Services at 866-516-1657, for a fee of $.50 per call. If you would like a paper statement, you can request one from Cardholder Service, by calling 866-516-1657, or by visiting www.AmscotCard.com. There is a fee of $1.50 for a paper statement.

Personalized Cards Issued after Feburary 19th, 2009

You can view all of your balance and transaction information for free on the web at www.AmscotCard.net. You can also review your transactions via phone by calling Cardholder Services at 866-532-9623, for a fee of $.50 per call. If you would like a paper statement, you can request one from Cardholder Service, by calling 866-532-9623, or by visiting www.AmscotCard.net. There is a fee of $1.50 for a paper statement.

All Personalized Cards

The Amscot Prepaid MasterCard provides 24-hour toll-free support. Immediately report any problems or a lost or stolen card by calling 1-866-516-1657. A replacement card will be issued and any available balance will be transferred to
the new card. A $9.95 replacement card fee will be deducted from the card’s available balance. As long as the lost or stolen card is reported immediately, you will not be responsible for any unauthorized merchant charges.

You choose the amount that you wish to spend and they choose the gift that they wish to purchase. Purchases can be made online, by phone, or in person at any of the more than 19 million merchants that accept MasterCard debit cards worldwide.

How does it work? Each Amscot "A GIFT FOR YOU" MasterCard Gift Card is assigned an individual account number that determines the value of each card and each card is embossed with an expiration date that will allow them plenty of time to choose the right gift for them. The back of the card has a magnetic strip that can be used for purchases anywhere that MasterCard debit cards are accepted.

Gift recipients can use their card as many times as they like for up to the amount of your gift until the card expires. As the gift recipient uses the card, the amount of the purchase is automatically deducted from the cards available balance. When the available balance is reduced to zero, the gift recipient can keep the card as a memento of your gift.

How much does it cost? The total cost is the amount you choose to give - from $25.00 - $250.00 the purchase price is $4.95 and from $250.01 - $500.00 the purchase price is $8.95. The card will then be given to the purchaser to distribute to the recipient.

Prepaid Wireless Minutes

Prepaid wireless minutes are similar to purchasing a long distance calling card that has a certain amount of minutes on it to use. You pay for the wireless minutes up front, load them onto your account, and then use them. There is no annual contract, no activation fee and no monthly bill. Currently, we sell prepaid minutes for Verizon (Freeup), Cingular, AT&T (Free2Go), T-Mobile (EasySpeak), Tracfone, and CallPlus (Global).
