APOPKA – On Saturday, Nov. 11, the Apopka Rotary Club held its 7th Annual Festival of Families at Kit Land Nelson Park. As part of the event, the Rotary Club gave away free bicycles to families in need. Each child who received a bicycle also received a bike helmet contributed by Amscot.

East Orange County community of Bithlo receives 350 Amscot

| On July 22, Amscot Financial contributed 350 bike helmets to children at the Bithlo Community Center in east Orange County. The contribution was part of a back-to-school event designed to get schoolchildren fully equipped for the school year.
In addition to the free bike helmets, Bithlo area schoolchildren also received free backpacks, notebook paper, pencils and other school supplies from other corporate sponsors participating in the event.
Amscot Financial worked with the office of Orange County Commissioner Bill Segal to get the helmets delivered and distributed.

| Amscot Financial donates computers to Computer Mentors Group Inc. of Tampa |

On Thursday, July 20, Amscot Financial donated 100 computers to Computer Mentors Group, Inc. of Tampa. Computer Mentors Group, Inc. is a non-profit service organization comprised of computer professionals and others interested in the future job opportunities of disadvantaged youths. The organization dedicates its time and talent to encouraging and guiding young people toward a career in the computer industry.
Its objective is to provide free, high quality computer literacy training and technology access to inner-city families in Tampaorida. It achieves this objective through training, jobs, and computer ownership for its teen-aged participants.
Computer Mentors Group has been in operation since June 1997. Amscot Financial was represented by Robert Farkas, Vice President of Information Technology and members of his IT team. |
| Amscot Financial contributes to Orlando-area adoption agency |
Amscot Financial held an open house on Saturday, July 29, 2006 at Branch No. 77, located at 10607 East Colonial in Orlando. The company presented a $1,000 contribution to Life for Kids / A Center for Women, a Central Florida adoption agency.
Life for Kids / A Center for Women was founded in 1984. The agency’s services focus on helping children who need safe and stable homes; building stable families and giving counsel and support to women facing crisis pregnancy. The agency does this through adoption services, counseling services, parenting education, material support and community referral.

| Amscot Financial makes a wish come true for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Sarasota / Tampa Bay |
On July 8, Amscot recognized the good work of Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Sarasota / Tampa Bay, Inc. with a $1,000 contribution at an Amscot Fun Day in Sarasota. The open-house event was held at Branch No. 11, 1155 S. Tamiami Trail in Sarasota.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Make-A-Wish Foundation of Sarasota/Tampa Bay, Inc. serves the children of Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee, Hardee, Sarasota, DeSoto and Charlotte counties. A child can be referred by one of the following sources: a medical professional treating the child, the child’s parents, legal guardians or even children themselves. The organization relies on the community not only for wish referrals, but also for support. |

Amscot Financial was a presenting sponsor of the Charity Challenge event in Orlando on
May 20.
More than 90 teams from Central Florida area businesses squared off in six athletic events to raise money for local charities.
Charity Challenge XXI was held on the southern grounds of the Florida Citrus Bowl. Contestants matched up in basketball, volleyball, tug-of-war and other contests. Amscot helped Charity Challenge meet its goal of raising $200,000.
Since 1987, Charity Challenge has awarded more than $2 million to hundreds of local charities. Last year, $250,000 in cash was awarded to nearly 100 charitable organizations including the University of Central Florida, Florida Hospital, the Epilepsy Association of Central Florida, the Center for Drug Free Living, Christian Help and the Seminole Community College Foundation.

On May 13, Amscot recognized the good work of Tampa’s Central City YMCA branch with a $1,000 donation. The Central City YMCA operates two year-round programs known as Y’s Guys and Y’s Girls. | Amscot donated 50 bicycle helmets to North Lakeland Elementary School. Lakeland Police Office Doris Maddox is the School Resource Officer who coordinates the safety program at the elementary school. Because the school is located in a lower income area, often the children do not have access to helmets. By donating the helmets, Officer Maddox was able to provide not only safety tips, but safety gear as well. |

| Amscot recently purchased two Cannondale “Interceptor” Law Enforcement bicycles for the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Community Policing Unit. These specialty bicycles are equipped for officers to ride while patrolling in their local communities. |

Amscot was well represented on Saturday, February 18 at the inaugural Community Bike Festival in Orange County to promote bicycle safety, safety equipment and cycling as part of a healthy family lifestyle. The festival was organized by Orange County Commissioner Linda Stewart. Amscot Financial supported the event by donating 200 bicycle helmets. The event got off to an early start with Commissioner Stewart and Commissioners Bill Segal, Mildred Fernandez and Homer Hartage leading a two-mile ride along Dean Road to Downey Park. Many of the riders were decked out with Amscot Financial helmets - Commissioner Fernandez decorated her Amscot helmet with jewels. Amscot was represented by Deveron Gibbons, Vice President of Public Affairs. |

The dinner, which was held January 27th at the Belleview Biltmore Resort, was designed to honor the men and women who risk their lives to protect and serve the citizens of Pinellas County. “We have a tremendous appreciation for the efforts of those who serve as police officers, firefighters and emergency medical services personnel.
